Nicole has been arrested as Rafe and Sami arrive on the scene with Sydney. Nicole watches Sydney and EJ reunited. EJ looks at his daughter, horrified at how he's treated her. Nicole tries to make it clear to EJ that she switched his baby, so he could know his real child. If she hadn't, Sami would have never told him about her. Later, Sami gives Nicole a moment to say good-bye to Sydney. Nicole is devastated and tells the baby she hopes one day she and her father understand why she did what she did. Nicole is carted off to jail and EJ and Sami argue about who will take the child. Rafe urges everyone to play nice. Sami and EJ agree. They go to the DiMera mansion, where Sami and EJ discuss Sydney's future, and their own. When an officer arrives to question EJ about putting a hit out on Rafe, Sami uses the opportunity to take Sydney home with her and there's nothing EJ can do. EJ believes Sami is to blame for the cops coming to his house. At the jail, Nicole makes her one call to Chloe who shuns her. Nicole begs Chloe to help her, but it's no use. Later, Nicole thinks maybe Chloe has reconsidered when she receives a visitor, but it's Mia. Earlier, Chloe has accidentally told Mia the truth about Sydney and how it's not her baby. Mia is reeling over the fact that her daughter, Grace, died. Maggie comforts Mia, and when Maggie goes to get some tea, Mia splits on a mission to confront Nicole. Bo catches Hope and Justin in an embrace. Bo says he came to tell her that Carly was exonerated, but Hope already knew. She wishes Bo had called her. Bo and Hope still struggle to reconcile their differences. Bo thinks Carly might be able to move out soon. Hope wonders about right now, but Bo worries that Carly's safety is still in jeopardy, stating whoever cleared her name might have their own plans for her. Meanwhile, Carly is face-to-face with Vivian who claims she's there to apologize to Carly for jumping to conclusions about Lawrence, but later it's clear that Vivian is back with a plan. Bo thinks Carly would be better off if she left Salem, but Carly tells Bo he knows why she can't do that. Meanwhile, Justin is served divorce papers from Adrienne.
