Sami reacts to EJ's declaration of love and tries to convince him that EJ doesn't really mean it. But he does, and Sami then says they can only be friends. But EJ doesn't buy that, either. He thinks Sami feels more for him and gets her to finally admit it. They almost kiss, but are interrupted by a text about Arianna's arraignment. EJ goes. Allie asks Sami if they're going to live in the mansion forever. Rafe tells Arianna to dump EJ as her lawyer. Rafe will get her out of jail. Arianna thinks Rafe is saying this because of Sami. Rafe doesn't deny he still loves Sami, but they can't be together. Arianna, in a reversal, says maybe she was wrong and Rafe and Sami don't belong together. EJ arrives. Rafe and EJ almost get into it. However, Arianna asks Rafe to leave. Arianna admits to EJ her worry that D.A. Woods will deny bail, and EJ says she's not the one who needs to worry... Nicole calls Baker, worried EJ has evidence against her to prove she framed Arianna for the muggings. Nicole goes to Chloe expressing her worry that EJ's out to ruin her and she feels helpless to stop him. Later, Nicole calls Dr. Baker again, afraid EJ will spring his info on her at the arraignment. She hears someone behind her, turns, and sees Rafe. Carly starts to tell Daniel about Chloe's indiscretion when Carly and Daniel are called away on an emergency. Chloe vents her fear to Nicole that she and Daniel are over. Daniel asks Carly what she was going to tell him earlier about Chloe. Carly decides Daniel needs to hear it from Chloe himself and she backs away in the moment. When Daniel returns to Chloe, she thinks Carly has already told him. But Daniel tells her what Carly said, asks if there's anything wrong with the baby. Chloe says there isn't. Daniel's happy to take her home and make plans for them and their baby. Melanie questions why Philip gave up his son to strangers and not Kayla and Steve. Philip admits it was because he didn't want the reminder around. After he explains, she understands. She asks if he wants another child. He does, but not yet. Shane returns to resolve things with Kimberly. She resists until he shows her the acceptance of his resignation from the ISA. She finally admits when she thought she might die, she didn't want to be without him.
