Vivian overhears Daniel and Chloe fight. After hearing how Chloe dislikes Carly, she wants to find a way to use this information. She later eavesdrops as Father Matt implores Chloe to go to Daniel and talk to him. Chloe considers. Vivian gets an idea when she learns from Victor that Daniel is going into surgery and that Chloe knows nothing about it. Vivian, knowing quite well she can't harm Carly due to losing Victor, decides she can position Chloe Lane into doing her bidding for her. Later, Vivian and Gus go to the hospital, and she pays a male nurse to tell Chloe that Daniel and Carly aren't in surgery, and that they may have left. Daniel returns to the hospital to get prepped for his surgery. Victor doesn't want Carly to do the operation, but Daniel says he trusts her with his life. Victor thinks he's a fool. Later, Carly wants to know if he told Chloe about the surgery. He explains they had a fight and he didn't get a chance to tell her. Carly urges Daniel to make amends. Surgery begins and Carly lends her support. Hope catches Ciara in her room. After laying into her, Hope confides in Justin and it appears they're becoming more dependent on each other. Later, Hope wants to turn in. Justin is twigged by this. She goes upstairs and takes a pill. Victor calls Justin on his hanging around with Hope. Justin lays into Victor claiming he's been more a son to Victor than Bo and yet Victor treats him poorly. Meanwhile, Hope has woken up and is strangely not herself. As she gets ready to go out, Justin comes up to check on her. Nicole and Arianna realize they will be working together for Titan TV. The two argue, but duty calls as they land an interview with Abe. Brady learns about Arianna's new boss from Gabi and arrives just in time for fireworks. Nicole thinks Arianna should quit, and Brady offers to find her something else, but Arianna declines, saying she's not going to quit.
