Rafe learns from Ben that EJ's health can withstand the truth. Sami happily tells EJ that they're not really married. EJ reacts in "shock," and Roman tells him he will now face charges for kidnapping Sydney. EJ is determined to prove that Sami or Will shot him. Rafe takes Sami home and tells her he's quit the FBI. Now she can tell him anything, and he won't have a conflict of interest. Sami finally confesses the truth. She shot EJ. Melanie is unconvinced by Carly's pleas to keep the truth about Chloe's affair from Daniel. Philip seeks out Melanie and makes a similar case, which also falls on deaf ears. Meanwhile, Daniel shows up at his apartment, looking for Melanie. Nicole tries to cover her absence by saying that Chloe and Melanie had a fight. She claims Chloe innocently made an insensitive remark about Melanie, which Melanie overheard. After Daniel leaves, Philip shows up and breaks the news that he failed – Melanie is still determined to tell Daniel the truth. At the same time, Melanie and Daniel finally come face-to-face. Bo has come to see Hope in prison, and asks for her help in co-parenting a troubled Ciara. He talks over the bully situation with Hope, who demonstrates she's still the loving mother she's always been. Hope sends him home with advice for Ciara. Later, Bo meets back up with Carly, who doesn't tell him about Melanie. Meanwhile, Hope is shocked to learn from Lee that April died in surgery.
