Nicole goes over her diary with all the places she has hidden her incriminating evidence against EJ. Later, Nicole is surprised and touched that Brady has stopped by, but worries when he picks up the diary. Seeing her shabby accommodations, Brady offers to help Nicole out with some money, but she insists her ship is coming in. Later, Nicole contacts EJ about their agreement. Rafe has a copy of Nicole's diary which is unfortunately in code. Arianna visits him and they fight about her friendship with EJ. Arianna leaves upset, and later, Rafe thinks he may have cracked the code in Nicole's diary. Carly tries to comfort Daniel, who is confused by Chloe's erratic behavior. Philip gives Chloe an idea to explain why she doesn't want to get married right away. Chloe explains her reluctance to Daniel, and he does a 180, thinking all is good. Later, Carly tells Chloe she has set up a paternity test at another hospital, Saint Mary's. At the same time, Daniel is consulting on a case and plans to take Melanie with him – also at Saint Mary's.
