Melanie invites Brady and Arianna to her picnic, hoping they'll make up. They agree to talk and Melanie leaves to give them privacy. But just as they seem to reach a rapprochement, Arianna mentions Nicole and they end up further apart than ever. With EJ present, Nicole tells Sami she wants to tell her the truth about EJ. Sami thinks it has to do with EJ defending Arianna and paying her bail. Before Nicole can deny, Sami gets a call. EJ privately tells Nicole that Sami will never believe her. When Nicole sees Will and Gabi enter, she gets an idea. She decides to reveal EJ's guilt on air in front of Sami, Will and Gabi. Arianna shows up, not realizing she had been called in to work with Nicole. Brady also arrives and a triumphant Nicole goes on air, about to reveal all. Daniel asks Chloe and Philip what secret they're keeping. Philip lies, saying that he and Chloe didn't want to tell Daniel that Melanie told Philip that Chloe was pregnant; he knows Chloe had asked Daniel to keep the news a secret. They didn't want to get Melanie in trouble. After Philip leaves, Daniel is troubled by Philip convincing Chloe to lie and asks her to keep her distance from him. However, Chloe tells him Vivian set her up to think Daniel and Carly made love, and Philip was there for her during that time. Daniel realizes Philip has been a good friend. Chloe nearly tells Daniel she and Philip made love then changes her mind, realizing if she did, Daniel would leave her. Melanie asks Philip if they can move into their own home, possibly with a spare bedroom for a future child. Philip says they can, hiding his guilt and fear about potentially having impregnated Chloe.
