Brady runs into EJ in the park, and EJ reveals that he suspects Sami shot him and that she is responsible for Arianna's death. EJ goes home to Stefano, who says that EJ's prospects for getting his children back are slim without Arianna's proof. Stefano thinks EJ still has feelings for Sami. Earlier, Stefano asks Marco to take care of whoever shot EJ. Philip tells Melanie he's suspicious about Victor's reasons for delaying their move into the mansion. He goes to investigate and grills Brady. Brady goes along with Victor's lie, but Philip follows Brady to the mausoleum and hears Brady talking to Vivian. Meanwhile, Vivian continues to have delusions, this time about Lawrence, as the paint fumes slowly drive her insane. Bo promises to help Hope look into the issues she finding at the infirmary. At the same time, Jane attempts to transfer Hope, but hits a roadblock. Later, Lee explains to Hope about what happened to the other female prisoner who died, and Hope privately doesn't buy it. Meanwhile, Carly is supportive of Bo and offers her medical expertise to help with the investigation. Kayla tells Stephanie the truth about Caroline switching Chloe's paternity results. Then Kayla gets a call that Steve is ill, and she must leave immediately. Stephanie struggles with her decision, but ultimately decides she needs to tell Nathan the truth. Before returning to Africa, Kayla makes Caroline promise to reveal the truth. However, it's clear Caroline does not intend to do so. She toasts to Stephanie and Nathan's future just as Maggie and Melanie come in and learn of their engagement.
