EJ and Sami bond as they take the kids to the lake. EJ asks Will about the cuts on his face, but Will doesn't want to talk about his fight with Chad. EJ understands, and Will respects this. Gabi sings Sydney a little lullaby, and Sami reacts, knowing it's the same one Rafe used to sing. Sami admits she misses Rafe. Gabi thinks Rafe misses her, too. Later, Sami tells Will that Rafe was a fantasy, and she needs to focus on the reality of providing for her children. Will wonders if that reality includes EJ. Nicole searches the DiMera mansion, determined to uncover what EJ has on her. In EJ's bedroom, she finds a picture of the sonogram from the baby she miscarried. This hits her, but she recovers and later when she tries to leave, is nearly caught by Stefano. She hides as EJ arrives and Stefano reports that Nicole's given his man the slip. Nicole eavesdrops as they discuss how they have no evidence against her – much to her private relief. As the two men continue to talk, Nicole decides to record them. Her gamble pays off when EJ spills the truth – he was the mastermind behind Sydney's kidnapping! Carly and Melanie discuss their reservations about Chloe marrying Daniel. Meanwhile, Vivian visits Chloe. Chloe realizes it was Vivian who tricked her into thinking Daniel and Carly were having an affair. Carly walks in and realizes that Vivian's hatred of her is the reason Chloe did what she did. Vivian warns Carly it's not over. Abe comes up on Lexie, Theo and Stefano. Abe tells Lexie he's impressed how she keeps Stefano in line around their son. Later, they talk about their lives and wonder if they should have more kids.
