Kayla and Kimberly arrive at Bo's house to mourn Alice. Bo is especially happy to see Kimberly, who's in remission from leukemia. The topic of Shane comes up, and Kimberly admits she never heard from him during her ordeal. Roman arrives and says he's not happy with Shane either, but Kimberly has her family and that's all that matters. Later, Bo goes to call Carly, and Kayla stops him. Kayla makes it clear she doesn't approve of her brother's relationship with Carly – he belongs with Hope. Hope calls Shawn to give him the news about Alice's passing. She breaks down and Doug picks up the pieces. She feels like she's let Gram down regarding her and Bo's separation. Doug offers words of wisdom and notes that Alice didn't feel that Bo and Hope were completely through. Later, Jennifer and Hope console one another. Abe visits the Hortons and offers his condolences. Julie finds a speech Alice wrote years ago and decides to read it at the funeral. Maggie is confronted by Bill about her myasthenia gravis. Maggie assures him that she is now in remission. Sami unloads on Carrie about what Anna did, but later apologizes. The conversation turns to Sami and Rafe. Carrie advises her sister to go after Rafe if she still loves him. Sami hedges and Carrie comes to realize that Sami is in love with both Rafe and EJ. Meanwhile, Shane and Rafe are on their way home to Salem. Rafe is concerned about Sami, while Shane is concerned about his family. Shane tells Rafe about Alice's passing. Kate and Lucas mourn Alice. When Will hears Lucas is going to stay in Hong Kong indefinitely, he says he won't be joining his father. Will mentions EJ's been decent to Sami, and a sarcastic Lucas can't believe Sami's about to make the same mistakes all over again.
