EJ explains his drive to prove Nicole's behind Arianna's set up, and Arianna's trust of EJ grows. Meanwhile, Nicole is reeling that her actions caused Brady's relapse. Brady says it wasn't his despair over Arianna being in jail that made him drink – because he didn't. He was trying to exonerate her and someone did this to him. He mentions the money clip but everything else is a mystery. This hits Nicole and privately, she knows who did this: Baker. At the same time, Victor arrives and Maggie tries to get him to approach Brady's situation from a more caring angle. Victor is grateful. Later, Lexie calls EJ and alerts him to what happened to Brady. He tells Arianna and she asks to speak with him. Arianna thinks he's gone off the wagon and Brady denies, but Arianna doesn't believe him. Meanwhile, a devastated Nicole goes to Dr. Baker and rips him a new one. She lays into him about what he did to Brady and Baker counters, saying that he had to do it. Will learns the townhouse is ready to move back in, and Sami tells him she's not moving back. She wants to keep the family together. Will and Sami go to see Alice. At Alice's, they meet with Doug and Julie. Doug's not happy to learn Will's living at the DiMera mansion and also bonding with Stefano. At the same time, Julie warns Sami that she's making a huge mistake by staying with EJ. D.A. Woods and Madeline try to convince Chad to go to Wake Forrest, but he refuses. Madeline thinks he wants to stay in Salem because of Mia. At the same time, Kate is set to go to Madeline's safe deposit box and get the incriminating tape. She puts on her disguise and is nearly caught. Kate returns to Stefano with the tape in hand, along with everything else in Madeline's safe deposit box. Madeline learns an imposter emptied her belongings at the bank. She freaks out knowing it was Stefano and Kate, and says they have no idea what they've done. Also, Gabi and Mia make up.
