Johnny receives an FBI jacket from Rafe. EJ realizes he can never be a hero to his kids. After an unsatisfactory conversation with Rafe, who’s distracted by Anna and Calliope, Sami assures EJ he is their father and no one can take his place in their hearts. EJ is moved and he and Sami are closer than ever. Meanwhile, Rafe convinces hesitant Calliope to return to Anna, and find out who her accomplice is. Anna suggests to Calliope they travel together and she will pay off Calliope’s IRS debt. Guilt-stricken, Calliope starts to unravel and Anna, becoming aware that something’s amidst, yanks out Calliope’s wire. Philip and Victor reach a rapprochement. Vivian, jealous of Victor’s friendship with Maggie, moves up the wedding date. Melanie confides to Maggie that she doesn’t think Chloe is the right person for her dad. Chloe confesses to Daniel that she hates Carly for giving him a child. She fears she’s losing her mind, and wonders if somehow, she’s made up all this nonsense about Carly and Daniel sleeping together. Daniel blames himself and Chloe is unable to tell him she slept with Philip. After learning Chad is going to Wake Forest in the fall, Mia decides she might drop out of school and go to New York to study dancing. Chad, learning she regrets her treatment of him, tells Madeline he’s having second thoughts about going away to college, and wants to stay in Salem.
