Rafe tells Hope he was alone when Woods was brought in to the hospital. Sami arrives at the police station and after sneaking a peek at Woods' file, realizes Rafe needs an alibi and decides to provide one for him. Abe catches her, but she denies all. However, when Abe brings in Sami and she explains Rafe was with her last night, Rafe tells Hope he wasn't with Sami. She's lying. Later, Sami wonders why he wouldn't let her lie for him. Rafe reminds her that he hates lies and the two grow further apart. Rafe feels only a miracle can bring them back together and they're all out of miracles. Stefano shows EJ the taped confession Anna made. EJ tells Stefano there's no real proof. Stefano says he'll it to Rafe and let the FBI decide. He thinks Rafe will be happy to turn over every rock to uncover the kidnapping. EJ finally admits the truth. Stefano tells him he messed with the wrong man. Chloe surprises Daniel by inviting Melanie and Philip for brunch. Everyone has a wonderful time and Daniel is touched by Chloe's supportive, loving gesture. He and Melanie leave for the hospital after he gets a call from Carly about a patient needing emergency surgery. She needs his help. He successfully talks Carly through the surgery. Meanwhile, Chloe expresses her insecurities about Daniel and Carly to Philip. Philip assures her Daniel loves her and she's worthy of his love. They go to the hospital and find Daniel, Carly and Melanie in warm, family moment. Gabi convinces Chad that Rafe didn't have anything to do with his dad. However, when Chad says this info to his father, Woods erupts. Madeline gets Chad alone, realizing he's letting his feelings for Gabi persuade him Rafe is innocent. Chad asks her to keep an open mind and when Gabi appears, Madeline warmly greets her, and says she looks forward to getting to know her.
