Rafe assures Sami that her secret about shooting EJ is safe. Arianna shows up, and when Sami leaves, Arianna tells Rafe she overheard Sami say she shot EJ. Rafe never admits it's true and tries to tell Arianna she misunderstood. Arianna comes to realize that her brother already knew about Sami and has been lying for her. Meanwhile, EJ returns to the hospital for a follow up exam, and sees Lexie holding Sydney while Sami has stepped away. He takes Sydney into his arms, despite Lexie's warnings of the restraining order against him. Sami comes back and is furious to Sydney in EJ's arms. She threatens to call her father to arrest EJ and he finally gives Sydney back, vowing he will get his children back. When Sami returns home, she finds Rafe with Arianna, who's acting awfully strange... Ciara tells Bo she's too sick to go to school. Bo knows it's because of the bully. He comes up with an idea to make Ciara feel better and sets up a visitation with Hope. Meanwhile, Hope walks in on Jane and Lee in huddle conversation, and Jane tells Hope it was about her. Jane concocts a story about some other trustee wanting to attack Hope, but assures Hope they're protecting her. Hope also starts asking questions about April's death. Later, Bo arrives for a visit and Hope is overjoyed to see Ciara. Hope helps Ciara feel better about the bully at school. When it's time to leave, Ciara starts to cry. Bo and Hope reassure her that even though they're not living together, they're still a family. During this, Jane asks Lee if Hope's been asking any more questions. They'll have to do something about any suspicions. Carly has a scratchy exchange with Nathan when he asks how Melanie is doing, remembering how she asked Chloe if Nathan was the other man she slept with. Carly tells Nathan to stay away from Melanie. Carly makes friends with new doctor Ben, who invites her out for coffee. However, she makes it clear she's with Bo, and Ben makes it clear he just wants to be friends.
