Hope goes home to put some presents under the tree and ends up having it out with Bo. Bo wishes Hope would come home for Christmas, but she won't, or at least not until they work things out. They dredge up old wounds from the past and it's clear they can't work things out. Bo guesses they're through. He storms out and a family picture falls, breaking. Hope picks it up, devastated. Brady and Arianna argue over EJ. Arianna defends him and Brady won't listen to it. Later, Melanie fills her in on her personal experiences dealing with EJ and exposes him for the man he really is. Arianna goes to Brady to apologize and they end up making love. Earlier, Melanie realizes she'll be working with Carly on a regular basis and tries to make nice. Vivian approaches Carly, and gives her a bouquet of flowers for her first day on the job. Carly exits to attend to an older woman, and later during her shift Carly finds a corpse in her previous patient's place. Horrified, Carly soon finds some baby's breath on the corpse from the bouquet Vivian gave her. Carly realizes this incident wasn't a mistake – it was Vivian toying with her... Rafe secures sodium pentothal and uses it on Stefano. He asks him a bunch of questions and ultimately learns he did not take Sydney. Meanwhile, EJ presses Nicole for more clues, but she has none. After they have it out, EJ goes to Stefano's hold cell and overhears Stefano tell Rafe he didn't take the baby, and that he didn't hire a woman. Meanwhile, the mystery women's identity is revealed...
