While Sami dreams of her baby returning, EJ confronts Stefano and raises the stakes, threatening to kick Stefano out of the DiMera mansion he claims now belongs to him. EJ goes to see Sami with a plan and the two grow closer as they bond over their now mutual hatred of Stefano DiMera. Meanwhile, Stefano and Kate are blown away over EJ's accusation that Stefano is responsible for Sydney's disappearance. Meanwhile, the mystery woman watching over Sydney talks to someone, but is it Stefano or someone else? Justin confronts Bo over what is going on with Carly. Later, Justin overhears Maggie and Carly discussing the nature of Carly's relationship with Bo. Justin swoops in and confronts Carly about her feelings for Bo. Afterwards, he tries to enlist Daniel at the hospital to thwart Carly's application to work there and is dismayed to realize they are old friends. Meanwhile, Bo warns Vivian that she will harm Carly over his dead body, an idea that Vivian is not opposed to. Melanie initially rebuffs Philip because she's still not over Nathan. Daniel and Chloe force Nathan and Melanie together, surprising them with a romantic weekend getaway. Melanie and Nathan inform them of their recent split. The pair must reconfirm that they are truly apart for good, much to Melanie's disappointment. After this final blow, Melanie opens herself to the possibility of a relationship with Philip while Nathan reaches out to Stephanie. Philip learns that Vivian has moved in, leading him to be skeptical of her claims that she supports him in every way.
