EJ informs Kate and Stefano that he and Sami are to be married – today, while Sami prepares for the wedding, convincing herself it's the right thing to do. Will enters and overhears. He rushes to Sami and questions her. Sami opens up to Will and the two of them bond. Lexie suggests Sami wait, but she remains resolute, telling everyone that EJ is why she has Sydney back and the reasons she loves EJ. At the same time, EJ speaks with Stefano, who asks if EJ has everything under control. EJ believes there's only one person who could ruin his day. Meanwhile, Rafe confronts Nicole about the CD and her involvement. Rafe offers Nicole protection if she tells him what she knows and she hesitates. Suddenly, EJ calls. After Nicole speaks with EJ, she decides to place her bets with Rafe. As the wedding begins, Rafe finally hears the recording and EJ's admission to being behind Sydney's kidnapping. Daniel surprises Chloe on her birthday day with a change of plans. Chloe panics when Carly stops by. They're supposed to go get the paternity results today. Daniel overhears them talking, but the women cover. Daniel leaves the room, and Chloe convinces Carly to get the results for her. Meanwhile, Philip protests to going to Chloe's birthday party which irks Melanie. She tells him Daniel and Chloe want them there, and Philip finally gives in. They show up at Daniel's apartment where Chloe is surprised and equally nervous to see them. During the birthday party, Philip and Chloe discuss their situation and possible futures if things don't go their way. At the same time, Carly arrives at St. Mary's hospital and waits for the results of the paternity test. Stephanie dreams about losing Nathan to Melanie. When she awakes, Stephanie calls Ian and needs him to check the paternity results – immediately. Nathan walks in and almost spoils her plans, but Stephanie convinces him to get an x-ray on his elbow. After Nathan leaves, Ian shows up and gets to work. Stephanie, with Ian's help, breaks into St. Mary's computer system and learns the truth.
