Arianna sees that EJ is distracted. He hints he may have to leave town and doesn't want Arianna to think less of him. Arianna reminds him that he stood up for her when no one else did; therefore, she thinks the world of him. Meanwhile, Nicole struggles with telling Brady about EJ and her culpability in framing Arianna. She ends up kissing him instead. Brady responds, but tells Nicole he needs to take things slow. Nicole understands and leaves with hope for a future with him. Later, Marco brings Nicole to EJ. She tells EJ she won't reveal he was behind Sydney's kidnapping, but she will make him pay. Meanwhile, Brady has an awkward cross with Arianna as they wish each other well. Stefano discovers Kate called Madeline, and she explains that Chad questioned her about his mother's extracurricular activities while she was in school. Kate warned Madeline and is confident Madeline has everything under control. Meanwhile, Chad keeps pressing Madeline about her past. Madeline stalls, but when Chad threatens to tell his dad, Madeline admits the truth - she was a hooker. She explains she needed the money, and becomes angry that his contact with the DiMeras has dredged up her secrets. Chad wonders what other secrets Madeline is hiding. She denies, and he doesn't believe her. Chad starts to leave, and Madeline attempts to follow him, but slips and tumbles down a flight of stairs. Bo and Adrienne discuss Hope's seemingly hypocritical behavior. Meanwhile, Carly questions Hope's friendliness. Hope insists she's always admired Carly, especially for taking care of Lawrence. Hope says Carly will have a wonderful future. Shell-shocked, Carly discusses Hope with Bo, who's determined to get to the bottom of Hope's behavior. Hope meets with Dr. Baker, who demands to know what her plan is. Hope admits she's going to kill Bo.
