Brady refuses to take sides in the Arianna and Nicole drama over the stealth filming. He tells Nicole he's done with her, and tells Arianna they can't be married if she's going to continue to be sucked into Nicole's life. After Brady and Arianna leave, Nicole agrees to an interview with Cece. Nicole discusses being the "Baby Snatcher" and comes across as a charismatic, compelling, and an identifiable person. After Nicole finishes, Cece gets word that she got a job in New York and is leaving immediately. Later, Philip spots a promo for Nicole's interview and is intrigued. He calls Nicole and offers her a job as Cece's replacement. She accepts. Meanwhile, Arianna is offered a job as production assistant, unaware she'll be working for Nicole. Philip watches as Melanie declares her love for him to Nathan. Pleased, Philip tells Brady he's decided to trust her love, and not be a bitter, loveless man like his father. Meanwhile, Melanie and Nathan tend to a patient who abruptly dies. Both are devastated and their attraction returns when Melanie comforts Nathan. Stefano realizes EJ is in love with Sami. EJ acknowledges, but warns if Stefano tells Sami about EJ kidnapping Sydney, Stefano will have lost not only EJ but his grandchildren. Reluctantly Stefano agrees to say nothing to Sami. Meanwhile, Sami tells Rafe that Lucas wants Allie to visit him in Hong Kong, and confides that she allowed Johnny and Sydney to spend the night with Stefano. Rafe is shocked, and doesn't understand why Sami allowed it. Sami admits she can't explain it herself, and knows if Rafe were still with her, it wouldn't have. They nearly kiss, but Rafe pulls back, determined not to get involved in her life. Later, however, he confronts EJ, and wonders why he allowed his children to spend the night with Stefano. At the same time, Sami arrives to pick up Sydney and Johnny, and Stefano tells her there's something he has to say to her.
