Recap

Roman admonishes Sami for softening toward EJ, but Sami insists he's changed. Meanwhile, EJ and Stefano play a deadly game of cat and mouse, and display their full dysfunctional glory. As the game heats up, EJ decides his only way out is to kill Stefano. However, EJ is unable to go through with it just as Sami bursts in, furious at Will. Vivian comes to the hospital to taunt Carly, who turns the tables by announcing that there's nothing Vivian can do to hurt her now. Vivian observes the dynamic between Chloe, Daniel, and Carly and later overhears Chloe proclaiming her hatred for Dr. Manning. Hearing this piques Vivian's interest. Chloe is forced to pretend she's fine with Carly moving in, but she confides in Father Matt that she's not happy about it at all. Daniel, meanwhile, tells Carly that all is well. Carly and Daniel are thrilled that Melanie wants to return to the student nursing program, and Philip is supportive, though he throws her a last-minute curve by offering her a job as a news anchor for Titan TV. Melanie is tempted, but ultimately decides to be responsible and stick with the hospital job, hoping to bond with her parents there. Nathan and Stephanie begin a tentative reconciliation at the Cheatin' Heart. Chad, Madeline, and Gabi, have coffee together at Java Café. Kate and Madeline spot each other across the room, and give each other looks. Later, Madeline warns her son to stay away from Will's family.
