While Sami speaks with Brady and reiterates her separation from Rafe and the implications of Anna's visit, Rafe shocks EJ by asking about his connection to Anna DiMera. EJ claims to know very little, but tries to get Rafe to back off of pursuing Anna. This only raises more suspicions with Rafe. EJ is nearly caught, but is able to turn things around and put everything on Rafe's motives with Sami. The men argue and Sami overhears. Sami leaves with Rafe, and EJ meets with Anna and tells her she's messed up big time. EJ tries to dismiss Anna of her services, but she will not go quietly. Meanwhile, Sami and Rafe have it out about Rafe going after Anna. Rafe admits he truly believes Anna could be a lead, and he's only done what he's done for Sami. When he tries to leave, she runs after him and the two kiss passionately. Carly asks to make sure she has to work during Melanie and Philip's wedding, and he agrees. Daniel realizes Carly is hiding something involving Melanie, but lets it go. At the same time, Kate gives Melanie Vivian's secret gift box, and Melanie nearly opens it before they are stopped by Vivian. Melanie leaves the women and goes and to Carly. They share a wonderful, and very possibly, a final moment. Back at the pier, Vivian gloats to Kate, but she makes an odd reference and Kate, piqued, makes a strange connection. Meanwhile, Nathan drinks too much off of his feelings for Melanie. He makes plans to hang out with Stephanie, and when he tries to find her, he runs into Melanie. Drunk, he begs her not to get married. While Vivian thinks her plan to off Melanie is perfect, Kate goes to Carly and asks her what's the connection between her, Melanie, and Vivian. Carly questions Chloe about her infertility problem, which Chloe indicates she has solved. Later with Father Matt, she makes it clear her solution is to have faith. Father Matt insists God's will is not always ours and Chloe is bummed until in a conversation with Stephanie realizes she has missed her period...she's late!
