Hope is offered Abe's job as Commissioner by the mayor, but she has her doubts about accepting. Bo and Roman want her to consider taking the job to help get DiMera, but Hope explains it can't be solely about that... not to mention it would be incredibly time consuming and she would be Bo's boss. Bo supports her and encourages her. She would be a terrific Police Commissioner and she would keep Stefano from putting one of his associates in the seat. Hope knows she could do the job, but she doesn't want her family to suffer either. She talks about Lexie quitting her job as Chief of Staff for the very same reason. Bo promises to support her with whatever decision she makes. Hope turns down the job and prays she's made the right decision. John is with Anna when he short circuits and has a seizure. Kayla examines him and orders some CT scans. Marlena checks on John and states that despite their differences she wants him to get better. Later, Kayla shares her concern over the X-ray with Marlena. Marlena believes John's problem stems from what Stefano did to him (by erasing his memory). Later, Marlena goes to Stefano and demands he give her the broken disk, but he flatly refuses. At the same time, John refuses more tests and Stefano tells Rolf he's no longer interested in reprogramming John. He simply is using John's deterioration to ultimately destroy Marlena. At the same time, Marlena studies the X-rays determined to find a way to help save John. Daniel sees Chelsea for the first time since returning from France and she lays into him. Daniel wants to move past their problems, but Chelsea can't. Daniel encourages Chelsea not to blame Kate. Chelsea can't let it go. Daniel calls Kate to talk about her illness and plan the next step (of diagnosis). Chelsea overhears and misunderstands.
