Chad visits the DiMera mansion to ask EJ if he's going to fight Chad for custody of Sydney. Mia and Will go to EJ to get his help and find Chad there. When the kids start to argue, EJ tells Chad he won't stand in his way. Mia pleads with EJ to help, but he won't, because of what Sami did to him. Mia vows to do anything to stop Chad. Fearing Stefano will soon tell EJ the truth, Nicole attempts to come clean and relinquish Sydney to Sami. However, Sami doesn't give her the chance. Sami thinks Stefano's on a vendetta against Nicole and leaves to give Stefano a piece of her mind. Stefano has a fantasy about telling EJ the truth and reuniting him with his daughter. When Stefano tries to tell Sami she's Sydney's mother, Sami interrupts by accusing him of trying to turn her against Nicole. Stefano finally tells Sami that Sydney belongs with her "real mother." While Carly's at Bo's house, she's almost discovered by Maggie. When Hope confronts Bo about a houseguest, Bo covers. After she leaves, Hope is twigged that there may be something odd going on in Bo's life. Philip admits to Justin that he's hoping there's another woman out there for him. He goes to the hospital to give an award to Melanie and Nathan for their help with Daniel and Chloe, but Melanie's not there. When Philip hears Nathan moved out, he misinterprets it as trouble between Melanie and Nathan's relationship. He finds Melanie and tells her he wants her to be happy, and thinks she would be happier with him.
