Sami nearly convinces Chad to give up his pursuit of Sydney until Chad learns from Maggie's slip up that Sami is Will's mom. Angry that Sami deceived him and now knowing that she held on to Will even though she was an unwed, teenaged mother, Chad is more determined than ever to sue for custody of Sydney. Later, Chad and his father, D.A. Woods, discuss Chad's options in pursuing Sydney. Brady is stunned that Nicole wants to go away with him. Nicole thinks she's tempted him into agreeing until she adds that they'd be running away with Sydney. Desperate, Nicole will do anything as long as she has Sydney. Brady is compassionate for her plight, but refuses to help her leave saying he will find a lawyer for her. Devastated, Nicole refuses his help and runs off. She leaves a message for Chloe asking for help. As Nicole doubts there's anyone who can help her, she turns to find Sami, who's willing to assist with open arms. Brady, meanwhile, has a secret rendezvous with Arianna on the pier. They're both troubled, but neither admits why. Instead, Arianna says she's glad Brady is back in her life and they kiss. Carly sees Bo at the hospital but hides before he spots her. Overhearing his conversation with Lexie, she learns he has a daughter and is now police commissioner. An orderly sees her and she leaves with the medicine before anyone becomes suspicious. Maggie sees her from behind and tries to place her. Later, Maxine discovers that drugs were stolen and reports the theft to Bo. Meanwhile, Carly returns to a delirious Rafe and injects him hoping the drugs will save his life. She proclaims she's unable to deal with her own problems until she saves Rafe. Back at the hospital, Lexie is with Stefano as he begins to stir. After Arianna lies to Victor about seeing Brady again, Victor meets with EJ and offers to sell his territory of the drug business to him. EJ is at first wary, but Victor convinces him that the offer is legitimate and EJ agrees unaware that Arianna is still trying to find out who heads the drug cartel.
