Daniel comes home to Chloe, and as they start to kiss, they're interrupted by Sydney, who Chloe is taking care of for Nicole. Chloe can't stop her fussing and Daniel diagnoses the problem as a diaper change. Chloe thinks Daniel would make a good father. Chloe tells him all she wants is a family. Daniel says he's open to the idea of a family with her, but now is not the time. As they prepare to leave for dinner, their plans are interrupted by Nicole, who demands to see Sydney. Carly must improvise to save Rafe from dying of hypothermia while he recalls Sami tending to him at the safe house, confusing Carly for Sami. Sami worries about Rafe and sends her love to him. Carly, meanwhile, manages to bring up Rafe's temperature only to be confronted by a crewmember pulling a gun on her. Chad overhears Mia mention that Nicole adopted a baby. He questions her until he realizes his daughter was adopted by Nicole. Mia breaks down and admits that it's true. Furious, Chad leaves find his baby. EJ confronts Brady about helping Nicole lie to EJ about her miscarriage and the truth about Sydney. EJ accuses Brady of keeping the lie because of his jealousy of EJ and love for Nicole. Brady says if he wanted to hurt EJ, he would never have kept Nicole's secret. Brady excoriates EJ for rejecting Sydney, telling him that he is glad she won't be raised by EJ. Hit, EJ returns home and realizes he doesn't want to be away from his daughter, but as he's about to call Nicole, Chad arrives and claims to be Sydney's father.
