Philip and Stephanie discuss their future and make love. Philip leaves and visits Stefano while Stephanie tries on her new gift, a new negligee. Meanwhile, EJ makes contact with an inside man, Owen, who has been planted at the Kiriakis mansion by Stefano. EJ meets with him and learns that Philip and Stephanie have gotten engaged. EJ decides to enlist Owen to carry out the first part of his mysterious plan. Owen hesitates at first, but reluctantly agrees. Confidant, EJ tells his attorney he won't be handing over DiMera Enterprises to the Kiriakis family after all. Meanwhile, Owen drugs a glass of lemonade and watches as Philip returns and lifts the glass to his lips. Nicole and Baker clash at the hospital and Baker refuses to cower to Nicole's demand. Meanwhile, Rafe assures Sami he'll prevent Dr. Baker from telling anyone that Sami gave birth to Grace. Rafe tracks Dr. Baker down seconds before two thugs pummel him. Rafe manages to fight the men off. He gets Dr. Baker to agree to never tell Sami's secret. Rafe also convinces him to leave town. Meanwhile, Sami crosses with Nicole at the Java Café and the two women exchange heated words. Later, Arianna joins Nicole and Sami and makes them both uncomfortable with her astute observations. After Nicole leaves, Dr. Baker calls and tells her he's leaving town. At the same time, Rafe tells Sami the good news about Dr. Baker and Sami's relieved.
