Mia overhears Lucas telling Will to stay away from her. Will refuses and Lucas leaves, determined to finish the conversation at a later time. Mia tells Will she overheard what his dad said and thinks he's right. Besides, she'll be leaving town anyway. Will sees Maggie and asks her if she knows where Mia can stay. Maggie insists that Mia move in with her. Mia agrees, but still has reservations about Lucas' feelings toward her. What if she wasn't an addict? Will insists she shouldn't have to make up a story to get on his father's good side. His loyalty to her makes her decide to keep quiet. Nicole tells EJ that if he goes to Sami, Nicole will never feel completely loved by him. EJ chooses not to see Sami. He learns that Owen was arrested, but has kept his mouth shut about the DiMeras' involvement in Stephanie's kidnapping. He decides to visit Stefano in the hospital. Meanwhile, Nicole tells Chloe how happy she is that EJ finally seems to be getting over Sami. Chloe finds hope for her situation in this, thinking she might finally get over Daniel. She shares a warm moment with Lucas and decides to tell him the truth about her affair with Daniel. Rafe starts his construction job at the pier. Arianna comes across him, and blames Sami for causing him to lose his dream of being an FBI agent. Rafe insists the construction gig is temporary. He needs Social Services to find him suitable to adopt Grace. He's happy and wants Arianna to put the past behind her and be happy too. Arianna feels neither of them has moved on, and thinks Rafe is deluded. Arianna leaves as Nicole arrives, and gives Rafe baby advice. He's not interested, and is convinced Nicole is up to something, but because he's in a good mood, he won't pursue it. Later, Rafe realizes his cell phone is dead... Daniel fantasizes about Chloe but makes a determined effort to put her out of his mind.
