Sami has a difficult delivery. The baby is in distress and Dr. Baker fights to deliver the baby quickly. Finally, Sami's baby is born, but panics when she realizes the baby isn't crying. Nicole is looking at Mia's baby girl in awe. Mia has doubts about whether she should give the baby up for adoption, but ultimately decides to go through it. While Mia is sleeping, Nicole says she's grateful for the baby, but wishes she was EJ's child. The killer threatens to harm Sami's children if Rafe doesn't tell him where Sami is. Rafe is in a rage, but refuses to talk. Rafe's emotions lead the killer to discover that Sami's at the nearby convent. When the killer prepares to off Rafe, he suddenly breaks free of his binds and attacks the killer. Brady is leaving Titan for the night when Philip stops him and says they need to discuss Melanie. Philip tells Brady his concern about Melanie possibly taking her fuel project to the DiMeras. Meanwhile at the Brady pub, Melanie tries to pump Max for information about EJ DiMera. She tells Max about her plan to involve the Kiriakis and DiMera families in a bidding war over rights to her fuel project. Philip shows up and tries to talk to Melanie, but Melanie plays hard to get and blows him off. After she leaves, Max warns Philip to stay away from his sister. As he exits, Philip is determined to obtain rights to Melanie's project, and Max receives a mysterious package. At the pier, Melanie and Brady discuss work and the troubles they've had with their fathers. Melanie tells Brady she'll do everything in her power to ensure the project is a success.
