Brady informs John that Charlotte is withholding information about his memories from him. At first John is skeptical, but then Brady shows John the footage from his hypnotherapy session. Meanwhile, Marlena is confronted by Charlotte. Marlena tries to reason with her, but when John calls, Charlotte pulls out a syringe filled with a lethal toxin in it. John hears and rushes over and stops Charlotte, but not her syringe as it's plunged into him. John tells Marlena she's safe and he drops to the floor, lifeless. Bo and Hope restrain Charlotte, and Marlena tries to save John's life. EJ doesn't want Nicole to go on a speaking engagement until after the baby's born. Nicole warns she will not allow him to keep her prisoner in the house. EJ understands, but explains he wants to be present when their baby is born. After Nicole agrees to cancel her "trip", EJ leaves and Nicole calls Dr. Baker. He warns Nicole that unless the timing is right with Mia, this whole scam of hers could blow up in her face. Chloe gets an audition in Vancouver and wants to use it as a getaway for her and Lucas. She thinks this will help block out her feelings for Daniel. Lucas doesn't want to go, but Chloe manages to convince him otherwise. Later, Chloe runs into Daniel on the pier and she mentions that she's leaving for Vancouver. Daniel doesn't want her to go, but Chloe runs off. At the same time, Lucas receives a fraught call from Sami and he worries for her. When Chloe returns, he tells her that he's not going because Sami's life is in danger. Upset, Chloe runs out and ends up at Nicole's door all upset. Emotional, she complains about Lucas to Nicole and accidentally reveals Sami's pregnant. Rafe has deposited a helpless Sami at the Convent of the Holy Cross. Sami doesn't want Rafe to go, but he must. He says he's going to meet with another agent, but it's clear he's going after the killer. Sami says a prayer to protect Rafe while he enters the loft and comes face-to-face with the killer.
