Sami and Rafe are about to make love when EJ interrupts. When Rafe leaves the room, EJ makes a case that Samantha still loves him, a key moment overheard by Rafe. Rafe insists EJ leave and once he does, Rafe confronts Sami. Meanwhile, Nicole is forced to face her conscience as she is questioned by Hope about her new family. Nicole throws Hope out, but her concerns remain, especially when she realizes EJ has been to see Sami. EJ insists on making love and Nicole puts her worries aside. But in their bedroom, EJ is stunned mid-lovemaking to have a thought of Sami. Meanwhile, Rafe demands to know what feelings Sami still has for EJ. Chloe tries to visit Philip, but the guard gives her trouble until Brady show up and solves the issue. Chloe learns that Brady's given up on pursing Nicole. Chloe is happy for Brady, but worries he is going to the dark side given Philip's shooting. Chloe begs Brady to reconsider. Mia forgets her troubles about her baby with Will at the Java Café. Will's friend, Tad, stops by and makes a connection to Mia's past. Mia freaks out a bit and after Will questions her, Mia claims she has told him nothing about her past because there is simply nothing to tell.
