Lucas knows that something is up with Kate and Stefano's marriage. Roman releases Lucas, but doesn't let Kate go until he receives word from his investigation into her part in Chloe's poisoning. Kate worries Stefano didn't come through for her, but later Roman tells her all the places they searched were a little too clean. He suspects someone helped Kate cover up her crimes, but he can't prove it...yet. Kate learns from Stefano that they're getting married tonight at Chez Rouge. When Victor learns that Kate put Daniel in the hospital, he confronts her.
Daniel kisses Chloe and vows to protect her. Lexie releases Daniel from the hospital, but he won't leave Chloe to be at Kate's mercy. Chloe clouds over and thinks Daniel should go. She talks to Father Matt, and tells him she believes her coma and Daniel's framing was another sign from God. She's to blame for everything because she broke her vow to God, and feels she has to give Daniel up to protect him. Father Matt tells her God doesn't work that way. She lived up to her vow the best she could and it's time to move on. Daniel and Chloe reunite, and he climbs into her bed.
Philip questions Melanie about what's going on with her and Nathan, and why she risked her neck for Daniel. Brady shows up and says it's because of him. Philip's angry at Brady for turning suspicion now on Kate. Melanie breaks up a fight, but Philip's protective of Melanie and doesn't want Brady getting her in any more trouble. After Philip goes, Brady thinks Philip is into Melanie. Melanie tells Brady she overheard Philip and Nathan fighting over her and she likes it even though she's conflicted between the two.
On the plane to Paris, Nicole's happy to be getting away from Salem, and still works on EJ to move away for good. EJ calls Lexie about Stefano's health and almost learns about Stefano's marriage plans. Later, EJ confesses to Nicole that he married her because she was pregnant, but is glad that he did. He's never been happier and more in love because Sydney brought them together.
