Sami and EJ argue over Rafe moving in with Sami. EJ questions how well Sami knows Rafe. Sami's confident Rafe is a good guy, so there's no need to worry. EJ begrudgingly agrees to drop the custody battle. Nicole thinks EJ's suspicions of Rafe are based on jealousy. She talks him out of vetting Rafe. Meanwhile, Rafe burns the clipping about Emily's death. Will stops by, and Rafe convinces Will to forgive his mother. While thinking of his own past with Emily, Rafe points out everyone makes mistakes, and wishes they could have done things differently. Sami returns home, and while she ends up feeling safe in Rafe's arms, the mystery of Rafe's past and Emily continues. Kate is almost caught in Daniel's apartment by Chloe and Lucas after they find a woman's scarf there. Meanwhile, Daniel opens up about his love for Chloe to Brady. While awkward discussing his ex-wife with Daniel, Brady admits he and Chloe weren't meant to be. Daniel believes that he and Chloe are. He leaves a message for her to meet him before taping today's Hearth & Home show. Meanwhile, Chloe goes to Nicole to vent about being jealous, thinking Daniel's involved with a new woman. She decides it's best to keep her distance. When Chloe shows up at the taping, she's cold and dismissive to Daniel. She finishes up the show, eating the poisoned food. Brady goes to set up his date with Arianna, but she brushes him off. He figures it's because he's a recovering addict. Arianna "admits" she had an old boyfriend who happened to be an addict. She tells Brady she doesn't want to date him. Once Brady is gone, Arianna is regretful, but says Brady can never know the real truth.
