Having lost her libido, Kate worries that she may not stay cancer free. Dan reassures her, but she's realized life has a whole new meaning which is why she wants Lucas to move up his wedding to Chloe. Lucas promises to ask Chloe, but Kate wants to make the appeal to her future-daughter-in law. Kate goes to the hospital to talk to Chloe where Kate learns that Daniel is no longer Chloe's doctor. Earlier, Lucas and Chloe make love, and she can't keep a certain doctor out of her mind and her bed. Later, Chloe goes to the hospital where she's arrived early hoping to avoid Daniel. However, when he arrives there's no avoiding him, so she tells him the truth. She doesn't want him to be her doctor. Marlena is distraught over John walking out on her on Christmas Eve. Tony comforts her, but warns John may never change. At the same time, John is frustrated with the lack of progress in therapy. Charlotte recommends putting him under hypnosis, but he isn't sure. Later, he goes to the Brady pub where Tony is encouraging Marlena to take the bull by the horns and invite John to New Year's. Tony tells Marlena that if John doesn't come around, there's a man out there who will. Charlotte invites Marlena out for a ladies' night at Chez Rouge for New Year's. John overhears and becomes intrigued. As EJ makes plans to propose to Nicole by choosing the perfect diamond, Stefano warns EJ that life with Nicole may be more than he's bargained for. Stefano recommends a prenuptial. EJ understands where his father is coming from, but he loves and trusts Nicole. Nicole blasts Dr. Baker about being a baby broker. Furious, she doesn't understand why he never offered his services to her. Nicole demands Dr. Baker to find her a baby as EJ prepares to propose.
