Philip has a nightmare about his shooting as the police guard outside his door gives Stephanie a hard time when she tries to enter Philip's hospital room. Furious, she starts to tell Philip, but when she sees how upset he becomes on her behalf, she calms him down with a kiss. Lexie enters to give Philip his prognosis. Philip kicks her out, refusing to be treated by a DiMera. Stephanie apologizes to Lexie who asks Stephanie how she's doing. Emotional, Stephanie admits she's still frightened for Philip. Lexie is convinced that if anyone can heal Philip, it's Stephanie. Stephanie returns to sleeping Philip and makes a mysterious call, asking for help. Afterwards, she crawls into bed with him, assuring him she will take care of both of them. Lexie tells Stefano and EJ that Stefano has diabetes. If he doesn't treat it now, the consequences could be dire. She moves off to line up specialists for Stefano but to EJ's surprise, he leaves the hospital. At the mansion, he tells EJ he'll get treated in Brunei but will only leave if EJ is comfortable handling the feud. EJ assures him he is. Stefano reveals he has a fake passport to get him through airport security. He and EJ say good-bye at the airport, unaware that a man has followed Stefano through security. Chelsea finds out Max applied to med school in Chicago. Chelsea is upset about the possibility of his moving away. Max decides if he's accepted, he won't go. Chelsea won't let him make that decision. Max says he doesn't want to leave Chelsea either and hopes he gets accepted into Salem University. Chelsea is willing to sacrifice her own happiness so that Max can follow his dreams. They kiss passionately, realizing how much they mean to one another. Sami insists Rafe listen to her. She says Grace and she owe him their lives. Sami thinks he's the most amazing man. Rafe refuses to listen to her compliments and when the final boarding of his flight is announced, Sami understands why he's going. She doesn't deserve him. She tells him goodbye, but he stops her. He demands she tell him what she really came here to say. Sami finally tells him: don't go. Rafe says those are the only words he wanted to hear from her and pulls her into a passionate kiss. They return to Sami's townhouse, fall on the sofa, about to make love.
