Philip is shot by Masi and Stephanie cries in horror to what she's witnessed. Masi is about to silence her until a couple of hotel workers spot him. Fearing too many witnesses, Masi makes a run for it. Stephanie rushes to Philip's side while a hotel worker calls for help. Sami interrupts the wedding with baby Grace in hand. Nicole tries to interrupt and stop Sami from talking, but Sami does not appear to be stoppable. However, when Lexie alerts the others that Philip Kiriakis has been shot, Sami gets cold feet. While Sami leaves and confirms the shooting, Nicole is willing to forget about Philip for the moment if EJ will do the same regarding Sami's sudden appearance. Nicole and EJ are wed with Chloe and Stefano present, but Sami returns to the ceremony. Alone for the first time with EJ, Sami accuses him of shooting Philip. EJ seems willing to tell her the truth, but Sami must tell him why she interrupted his wedding Seeming to be alright from his beating at the pier, Brady checks out of the hospital and Melanie offers to help him home. Suddenly, Philip is rushed to the hospital and is in critical condition. Victor learns all from Stephanie while Brady and Melanie offer their support as Brady witnesses a nicer side to Melanie. After Victor demands answers, Brady does his best to calm him down until Stefano shows up. Furious, Victor confronts a seemingly innocent Stefano with what he has done. Meanwhile, Stephanie begs Philip to live and when he opens his eyes, Philip suddenly flat lines.
