EJ explains to Lexie about the situation with Nicole. Meanwhile, Nicole asks Daniel for a moment alone with Stefano and speaks her thoughts. In the end, she decides to fight for her family. Meanwhile, Sami thinks of Grace as she cares for Sydney while waiting for Nicole and EJ to return. She finally gets annoyed and goes to find EJ. Back at the hospital, Nicole crosses with EJ at the hospital, but they're interrupted by Sami, who arrives with Sydney. Sami asks them what is going on and tries to hand Sydney to EJ but he tells her to give the baby to Nicole. Brady worries about Nicole. He runs into Melanie who tells him about Stefano and that Nicole is probably at the hospital. She is suspicious as to why Brady would worry about EJ hurting Nicole. Stephanie asks Nathan out, but he tells her he's going out with Melanie. Meanwhile, Victor and Philip find out about Stefano's condition. Later, Philip stands up for Melanie when Kate blasts her at the hospital and Melanie is touched. He follows her to the Cheatin' Heart and is about to tell her he wants another chance when he realizes she's on a date with Nathan. Meanwhile, Stephanie meets with Maggie about the fundraiser, and through small talk Maggie realizes Stephanie is interested in Nathan. Stephanie reveals that Nathan is out with Melanie, much to Maggie's chagrin. Victor comes to the DiMera mansion to gloat over Kate's inability to kill Stefano. Kate points out that she is Stefano's proxy at DiMera Enterprises, which means Victor will be dealing with her.
