While Chloe and Lucas seem happy with the marriage, at the hospital, "contrite" Kate goes to Daniel telling him she's sorry for accusing him of having an affair with Chloe. Kate changes the subject by asking about the drug used in her chemo, and Daniel states it's very toxic. Kate continues to push her plan to end Chloe's marriage to Lucas even further until Lucas enters and tells her Philip has been fired. Nicole confronts Mia about telling Tony the truth about Sydney. Nicole chews her out and Mia bursts into tears apologizing. Meanwhile, EJ and Stefano are shocked to learn that Tony is leaving the family - for good. Philip and Brady square off when Philip congratulates Brady for becoming the new CEO of Titan. Philip further explains that Victor fired and basically disowned him, but vows the fight for the fuels project is not over and exits with purpose. Brady thinks Philip is about to do something desperate. Meanwhile, Tony goes to the pier to meet a business associate, but learns it was Philip who sent the text. Philip demands that Tony return the fuels project. At the same time, Nicole receives confirmation Tony will undoubtedly tell EJ the truth before he leaves town, but that he hasn't told him yet. Nicole goes to confront Tony, and ends up stumbling across Philip and Tony in a deadly struggle. Sami runs into Rafe. The two are barely civil, but when Sami learns from Abe that Rafe turned down a job in NYC, she melts and confronts Rafe. After explaining how they feel, the couple ends up in a kiss, and see that in a way they are a little alike. Rafe tells a touched Sami he supports her and will go with her to get Grace. While picking up Grace from the convent, Sami is happy to finally be reunited with "her" child.
