Chloe gets Daniel's message about him not interfering with her and Lucas. Chloe leaves Daniel a message, insisting they need to talk. Maggie overhears some of this and thinks Chloe is having problems with Lucas. Chloe admits she's upset with Lucas for making Sami his priority. As a result, Chloe explains how she acts out, behaving selfishly and impulsively. Maggie thinks that if Chloe and Lucas truly love one another, they can work things out and not let anything come between them. Meanwhile, Kate goes to Daniel, still worried that he isn't taking their break-up well. Daniel convinces her that he's fine, but when Kate runs into Chloe, Kate confesses she felt a sense of sadness within Daniel. Chloe goes to Daniel, and confronts him about his true feelings. Nicole enters the clinic carrying Mia's baby in a basket, and learns Sami is giving birth. Baker rushes Sami's baby out of the room without telling Sami if she's alive or dead. Alone with Sister Theresa, Sami worries about her baby, convinced her lies are the reason why her baby is in danger. Sister Theresa insists that's not true, but Sami can't be mollified. Sami convinces the nun to find out what's happened to her baby. Meanwhile, Nicole enters the room where Baker is saving Sami's baby. Nicole is desperate for Baker to save EJ's child. The baby lets out a cry. As Dr. Baker states the baby will live, Nicole buckles in relief. Dr. Baker realizes that Nicole has Mia's child, figures she has everything she wants. Nicole says not quite. She explains to Baker that Sami is in witness protection, and has planned to abandon her baby. Devious as ever, Nicole wants Baker to give her Sami's daughter and give Sami Mia's daughter. Rafe lunges at the killer and they fight for the killer's gun. The two men exchange knife wounds, and the injured killer makes a run for it and escapes. Rafe pursues him, but collapses before he can make it to the door. The killer makes it to the pier, but stumbles through and passes out from the loss of blood.
