On Christmas morning, the Brady family gathers at the pub before going to mass at St. Luke's. Chelsea attempts to ease the tension between Max and Stephanie, but Stephanie is irked by Melanie's arrival. Chelsea comforts Max. Later Melanie interrupts Stephanie and Chelsea to make a sly observation that Stephanie isn't the only one who's moved on because it looks like Max has moved on, too - with Chelsea! Chelsea quickly denies this, and Stephanie is relieved. She admits she would have a problem with that. Over at the Kiriakis mansion, Philip and Brady call a truce before their family brunch gets underway. Daniel brings Kate from the hospital to be with her family. Daniel and Chloe do their best to avoid one another. At the DiMeras', Nicole is awoken by a playful EJ. Panicked that she's not wearing her pregnancy pad, she snaps at him to leave her alone. Once she's put herself together, Nicole apologizes and spends a nice morning with EJ and Johnny. Later, they are surprised when Roman shows up with Allie. Rafe tries to cheer Sami up with a Mexican Christmas. Despite his best efforts, Sami is still depressed about not spending the holiday with her children. Rafe receives a meaningful gift from Sami. In return, Rafe surprises her with an unbelievable present. Roman and Rafe have arranged for Sami to have a webcam chat with Johnny and Allie! Sami is moved to tears being "reunited" with the twins. EJ is affected by the sight, which doesn't go unnoticed by Nicole. The Carvers spend Christmas morning at Bo and Hope's house. Abe and Lexie are disheartened by Theo's lack of interest in his Christmas gifts. However, Lexie is touched when Theo presents her with a gift he made himself. At the hospital, Doug dresses up as Santa Claus to read the Christmas story to the sick children. He, Maggie and Julie are dismayed when Stefano shows up with gifts for the kids. Bo and Steve order Stefano to leave. He finally acquiesces when Lexie pleads with him to go.
