While Arianna confronts Sami about Rafe, we see him wake up cuffed to a pipe in the basement and at Meredith's mercy. It is clear Meredith blames him completely for Emily's death. She feels she has nothing to live for without Emily. Meredith has plans to make Rafe suffer horribly before she kills him, as she knocks him unconscious with a brick to the head. Brady inadvertently tells EJ that "the secret" is out. When EJ confronts Nicole, she denies in a number of ways but this time he insists on knowing the truth from them both, in person, and cuts their trip short. Meanwhile, Mia bonds with Will, but Chad is angry at being rebuffed and finally goes to Maggie's to confront Mia. He sees Brady talking to Mia and waits until Brady's gone to confront her only to hear her on the phone begging Will not to tell anyone she had a baby. Chloe agrees to marry Daniel. She asks Father Matt to help her with an annulment to truly start again. Meanwhile, Daniel's bonding with Victor takes a bad turn when Victor learns Daniel plans on marrying Chloe. Victor informs Daniel that he won't accept it just as Chloe enters to overhear.
