Daniel learns there was no residue on the gloves he stole from Kate. He asks if Nathan and Melanie can give Chloe another dose of medicine. At first Nathan is skeptical, but Melanie offers to do it. Nathan won't let Melanie do it alone, and agrees to help. Meanwhile, Justin has been released from the hospital and is called to the D.A.'s office. Justin and Daniel meet with D.A. Woods, who offers them a plea bargain. Daniel balks and Woods says he will see them in court. At the same time, Melanie acquires the medicine and Nathan administers it to Chloe. Across town, Daniel knows he's taking his chances at trial. Justin says either Chloe's got to wake up, or Kate must confess. Daniel knows what he has to do. Meanwhile Kate runs into Stefano, who tries to make amends, but Kate won't hear it. Stefano promises to always be there for her. EJ informs Nicole he's not going to France with her. Arianna wants to quit her undercover operation to bring down the drug cartel in Salem. She tells Roman it's because she's met someone and wants to be reassigned, but Roman tells her it's not possible. Roman reminds Arianna her job is non negotiable. Later, Arianna overhears Brady promising to keep Nicole's secret. Brady and Arianna have a slight argument about it and Brady offers to be her friend in the same way he's been for Nicole. Curious, Arianna can't help but wonder exactly what Brady did for Nicole. Rafe calls on the clinic nurse and asks if Nicole could have made baby Grace ill. The nurse says it's not likely which leaves Rafe desperate for answers. Nicole offers a preemptive strike by going to Sami's and telling her what Rafe has done. She explains how he dragged her to Sister Theresa's trying to prove she had something to with Grace's death. Sami's horrified to hear this, but understands why Rafe is doing it. He's clearly not dealing with the loss of Grace and he's not the only one. Nicole tries to offer some comfort to Sami, but she wants to be alone. Sami goes to the convent and learns everything Nicole said is true. Sami asks Sister Claire for help. Meanwhile, Nicole goes to Brady and makes sure her secret is safe. He assures her it is. When Nicole returns home, Rafe tracks her down with some questions, but Nicole has a surprise for him, and hands him a restraining order.
