Sami and Rafael are mutually horrified to realize he is her new guard. Sami plans on giving him the slip, but Rafael jumps out of the shower and grabs her. EJ's efforts to free Nicole on bail are stopped by Bo and Hope's testimony and Nicole is sent to jail. While in her cell, Nicole has a twinge. Melanie seems to put the breaks on Nick's interest in her, but changes her tune when it looks like Nick may be able to make her some money. Chelsea witnesses Melanie's machinations and tries to warn Nick, but he ignores her. Chelsea goes to Philip, begging him to save Nick from Melanie. Philip sees how Daniel is giving Kate the will to live and he finally comes to terms with Daniel. Later, Daniel urges an unconscious Kate to fight and survive.
