Philip and Stephanie realize they're lying in adjoining drawers in the morgue. They profess their love as they wait for Brady and Melanie to come rescue them. Meanwhile, Brady and Melanie have been captured by Owen and are imprisoned in the Kiriakis mausoleum. Brady tries to keep up Melanie's spirits as she panics that they will die. He makes an escape attempt that is nearly successful, but ultimately fails. Melanie learns a bit about Isabella and rues the fact that she will never have true love as Brady's mother did. Brady encourages her to believe and promises they will get out of here. Meanwhile, Owen returns to the mortuary, where his father prevails on him to help embalm the new body. Owen's father almost discovers Stephanie, but Owen intervenes. Owen tells Stephanie they're going to leave town. Philip, alarmed, reveals himself to Owen. Stephanie uses the distraction to get her hands on Owen's gun. A struggle ensues, and Stephanie is knocked to the ground. Philip and Owen engage in a deadly fight. Bo and Hope are concerned that Philip, Brady, and Stephanie might all be in trouble. They pump Lucas for info, and interrogate Henderson to find out he saw Brady and Melanie this morning heading towards the forest. They find Melanie's hospital badge and realize something is definitely wrong. Daniel and Chloe insist to Kate that she witnessed an innocent moment between them. Kate is unconvinced and nearly tells all to Lucas. Daniel takes Kate for a walk and reminds her of her promise to let this go. Kate appears to acquiesce, but she has her own plans. Meanwhile, Lucas presses Chloe to tell him what happened the night he was drinking. They fight, and she nearly tells him the truth, but ultimately realizes she can't. They make up, and wind up in a passionate kiss.
