Daniel directs Bo and Hope's suspicions toward Kate, but she gives a convincing performance as the wronged ex-lover, making Daniel look guiltier than ever. Daniel is worried about Chloe when hateful Kate goes in to visit her, fearing Kate will try to finish the job. Kate quietly urges Chloe to die. Brady takes his turn keeping vigil and elicits a small response from Chloe. Forensic results show Daniel's fingerprints on the vial of drugs found in his apartment. Bo wants to bring in Daniel to make an official statement. Daniel balks at leaving Chloe, and Bo is forced to have him cuff and dragged out. Sami tries to banish thoughts of Emily and makes love to Rafe. Roman calls her to say that Meredith is staying at the Salem Inn. Sami hates lying to Rafe, but she makes an excuse, and tracks down Meredith. Meanwhile, Roman shows up at the townhouse full of questions for Sami, but he answers to Rafe instead. Will Roman tell Rafe what Sami's up to? EJ accuses Nicole of keeping secrets. She turns it around on him and brings it back to Sami and Grace. EJ denies having buried feelings for Sami, but he's shocked to dream that the woman lying in bed next to him is Sami holding baby Grace! Stephanie comes to Philip to apologize for her behavior tonight. They almost kiss, but Philip reminds Stephanie of why she decided they couldn't be together. Stephanie reluctantly leaves, and just as reluctantly Philip lets her go. Melanie agrees to a do-over date with Nathan. Meanwhile, Maggie urges Brady not to blame himself for Chloe's fate, but even though Maggie blames herself. Melanie finds upset Maggie and urges her to take her own advice and not feel guilty.
