Sami and Rafe plan for a picnic, but the air conditioner breaks and it becomes a comedy of errors to fix it, until Rafe falls from the ladder and Sami freaks about him being okay. Rafe recognizes Sami's grief over Grace as the reason for her overreaction. Rafe sends her off to set up the picnic at a secret place Sami knows of while he showers and meets her there. When Sami arrives, she finds a sobbing woman, who cries out the name... Emily. Nicole learns EJ had an encounter with Mia, who told EJ he was a good dad. Nicole asks Stefano about what he's doing to keep Rafe from nosing around in their business. Stefano assures her it's in motion. EJ walks in on her thanking Stefano. After Nicole leaves, EJ questions Stefano what's going on with him and Nicole. Stefano looks like he's about to reveal the secret about Sydney and Grace, but he covers and tells EJ that both Nicole and Stefano are concerned about his grief over Grace. Later, Nicole returns home thinking Stefano blew her secret, and is about to blow it herself when EJ hugs her and thanks her for her concern. EJ tells her not to keep things from him any more. Brady questions whether Arianna is just against him or all guys in general. When Arianna doesn't give in to her feelings for Brady, he has one more thing to say to her, and pulls her into a sweet kiss and goes. Brady runs into Nicole telling her Arianna has got too much baggage. Nicole probes around with Arianna, who goes on the defensive. Melanie arrives and Arianna asks what she told Brady. Melanie witnesses a tense phone call Arianna has, and thinks there's something else keeping her from Brady. Arianna lies after Melanie presses on the issue. Alone, Arianna admits to herself she does have an interest in Brady, but can't commit to him. At the same time, Brady tells Maggie she was right - it's too soon for him to be in a relationship. Chad noses around with Will about Mia supposedly being in rehab, and Will defends Mia to the fullest. However, Will, irked of his conversation with Chad, asks "T" if his Salem West friends knows anything about Mia's past. Meanwhile, Chad questions Mia about rehab, and she thinks he found out about the baby. She almost reveals her secret, but ends up covering nicely. She goes home and starts a computer journal off Maggie's suggestion.
