The men have words, and almost throw blows, but EJ leaves, claiming Rafe's a waste of time. Meanwhile in the park, Nicole and Sami bond and Sami is given hope regarding custody of Johnny until EJ shows up. He explains he knows all about Rafe moving in and is not happy. At the same time, Rafe unpacks and burns an old newspaper article that reads his fiancée died under "mysterious circumstances." Kate continues her plot to kill Chloe and frame Daniel. At the same time, Daniel and Chloe can barely resist each other, and are interrupted by Lucas, who asks Daniel to have dinner. Kate plants evidence in Daniel's apartment when Chloe is forced to return there with Lucas when they go to get Daniel's suit. Kate hides in the closet while Chloe is in agony as she recalls her passionate moments with Daniel. After talking over patients with Nathan, Daniel bumps into Brady and tells him he's in love with Chloe, but things between them are over. Meanwhile, Chloe spots Kate's scarf at Daniel's apartment.
