Kate turns to Stefano for help to"silence" Daniel, but Stefano tells her during a friendly game of chess that his brand of help comes with a hefty price. Kate, knowing this is true, tells Stefano she knows he's going to want something in return and she doesn't care. She needs his help. Kate and Stefano go to the motel where she has Daniel tied up, but he's escaped. Kate freaks, but Stefano reassures her that he will take care of the situation. Earlier, Daniel, weak and woozy after Kate bonked him on the head, is literally breaking the ties that bind him as he vows to reach Chloe. At the hospital, Lucas and Chloe have it out. Chloe admits she does love Daniel and that he didn't try to hurt her - Kate must have. Pained, Lucas refuses to believe her. Chloe worries if Kate did this to her, what will she do to Daniel? She decides to get up and go find him. EJ and Nicole finally decide to honeymoon in Paris, but Nicole has much bigger plans. She wants to preserve her happiness with EJ and Sydney forever and decides, unbeknownst to EJ, to move to Europe permanently. Rafe is on a mission to prove Sydney actually belongs to Sami. He contacts a former FBI buddy, who tells him to collect DNA samples of the people involved. Rafe sets out to Sami's townhouse first where he encounters Meredith, Emily's sister, who has followed him. She tries to apologize for breaking him and Sami up, and he tells her not to worry. Preoccupied, Rafe brushes her off gently, and Meredith snaps. She knocks him out with a fire poker, and reveals she's hell bent on revenge. Meanwhile, Sami talks to Sister Claire, who advises Sami to speak with Rafe. She attempts to call him, but is unable to reach him...
