At the Java Cafe, Lucas is still twigged about his flash the night he fell off the wagon. He wants to know what Maggie knows and she once again covers. Chloe arrives and after Lucas leaves to go to the mansion, Chloe tells Maggie this can't be happening. She made a deal with God. Maggie knows and applauds Chloe's staying on the straight and narrow, but she can't keep Lucas from remembering. Kate returns home from London and learns about Philip's troubles. Victor assures her that he will straighten this mess out, but he needs the family to stay out of it. He explains how he disowned Brady, and Daniel takes Victor to task. Victor tells him to mind his own business and Kate urges Daniel to let it go. Later, after Chloe arrives and Victor insults her she finds herself in Daniel's arms and Kate witnesses their close moment. Will and Mia nearly kiss, but it's interrupted by Mia's cousin. Will leaves and Mia learns her cousin's leaving town and she has nowhere to live in Salem. Mia can either go home to her mother or move away. Maggie finds Mia and worries she could slip back into drugs. Mia admits she might have to move, but she doesn't want to go because of Will. Maggie is aware and hopes things will work out. At the same time, Will arrives to ask Victor if he can invite some friends to the mansion's pool. Victor agrees and Lucas gathers his son is into a girl. Will admits there is someone, but he's not about to talk to his dad about it. Meanwhile, Brady and Melanie have been captured by Owen and Brady is knocked out. Melanie tries to talk him down, but Owen is determined to have a life with Stephanie. Aware of Owen's threats, Melanie purposely drops her hospital I.D. badge before Owen locks her and Brady in the Kiriakis mausoleum. Melanie worries they're going to die, but Brady isn't giving up. In the morgue, Philip's "body" is nearly refused by Owen's father. It looks like Philip is headed to the crematorium, but he's shoved in the drawer and overhears Stephanie's cries nearby.
