The plan to kidnap Stephanie seems to go awry, but the drug Philip was given and his efforts to stay awake, ends up making him irritable and irrational, with his fiancée. After a brief argument, Stephanie leaves an exhausted Philip inside, and goes out to the terrace to cool off, but is suddenly chloroformed by Owen and hidden in a gardening bin. Melanie appears to discover Owen, but he covers and Melanie leaves oblivious only to find a piece of Stephanie's jewelry which puzzles her. Meanwhile, Owen takes Stephanie to a morgue, shutting her away from the world. Sami is furious when EJ refuses to drop off Johnny for Sami's arranged time. Sami is forced to take Grace with her to the DiMera mansion and confront EJ. She soon realizes something is going on involving Stefano and demands answers. Will wants Mia to resume their friendship and she is forced into allowing him to come to a Twelve Step meeting for recovering addicts and alcoholics. Meanwhile at Maggie's house, Melanie learns Brady's a recovering addict, but her comments about Philip and Stephanie and her whole view of men don't really win her points. Melanie goes, as Mia arrives horrified to learn that Maggie's the group leader and that Will knows Maggie as well. Just when she doesn't think things could get any worse, Brady confronts her about her drug use and the baby. She admits she's never been to rehab and she doesn't want "him" to know. Will enters as Brady asks Mia "who" she doesn't want to know the truth.
