New Tonight 8/7c. Catch up on the season premiere online.
Nicole visits Chloe in the hospital, devastated by her condition. Nicole confesses her sins about losing her baby, taking Mia's, and then switching Mia's baby with Sami's. She also admits that she sent Stefano after Rafe to keep him from asking questions about Nicole and Grace. She goes on to say she's torn because she's formed a truce with Sami and doesn't want to see her hurt. Brady enters and witnesses Nicole's pain over Chloe. When Nicole sees him, she runs into his arms. Brady initially pulls back, but when he notices Nicole's despair about losing Chloe, he tells her they have each other. Will finds out from Kate that Daniel supposedly tried to kill Chloe because they had an affair and Chloe ended it. Kate manipulates him into supporting her and Lucas. While Will wonders what will happen when Chloe recovers, Kate insists that Chloe never will. Lucas confronts Daniel in jail about his affair with Chloe. Daniel doesn't deny the affair. Lucas puts the pieces of the affair together. He doesn't understand why Daniel encouraged him to elope with Chloe. Daniel tells him about Chloe's pact with God, and insists Chloe never broke her promise. She remained faithful to Lucas after she was married. Daniel honored her wishes and stayed away from her because he loved her. Lucas is skeptical. If Daniel loves Chloe then why did he try to kill her? Daniel says he didn't - Kate did. Stefano sent for Meredith under the ruse of giving a research grant to the hospital where she works. He gets her to open up about her family tragedy. Meredith reveals Emily and Rafe had a terrible fight subsequent to the car accident that killed her. She's upset that the police wouldn't pursue a case against Rafe. Stefano tells her he knows someone who should hear her story. Meanwhile, Rafe tells Sami he went to see Meredith. He still feels guilty for causing Emily's death. Sami lovingly passes on the advice he gave her about Grace: hold her in your heart but move forward. They make love but as happy as Sami is, Rafe is still troubled.
