Nicole tells EJ that Stephanie broke up with Philip and plans on revealing EJ's part in her kidnapping. EJ isn't concerned, and is convinced that the judge will give him sole custody of Johnny. Nicole fears that EJ will be arrested and sent to prison, and that Sydney will grow up without a father. She convinces EJ to work things out with Sami although EJ vows that if anyone betrays him like Samantha did, they will be punished. Practically stripped naked, Brady and Nathan realize they've been played at poker, and figure out Melanie is a cardsharp. Melanie admits to her card counting ability and demands payment in exchange for the clothes the guys lost. The guys agree to take the girls to dinner. Melanie and Nathan hit it off while Brady tells Arianna he's a recovering addict. Arianna seems cool with the news until Brady leaves and she says to herself that she and Brady can never happen. Victor tries to talk Stephanie into making up with Philip but she understands he wants them together so that she doesn't rat out EJ and end the fragile DiMera and Kiriakis truce. Philip interrupts them, and tells Victor to back off. Victor tells Caroline he only wanted to help Stephanie not make the mistakes he made with Caroline. Caroline understands but convinces Victor to leave Stephanie and Philip alone. Meanwhile, Philip tells Stephanie he chooses her over his father: he will change for her. Stephanie knows he'll only end up resenting her if he does that. Philip finally realizes their relationship is truly over. Devastated he tells Melanie, who is convinced Stephanie will come back to him just as Stephanie has a literal bump in with Nathan. While Bo counsels Philip over his breakup with Stephanie, Hope gives Ciara a new stuffed animal, explaining her bear is hibernating. They're joined by Ciara's friend, Tracy, and her mom, Ellen, who has agreed to watch Ciara while Hope talks with Bo. Hope tells Bo they will keep their daughter safe. Not all his visions come true and they've taken the bear away from Ciara. Meanwhile, they are unaware that Tracy has an identical stuffed bear, and Ciara trades her new giraffe for Tracy's bear.
